I can’t believe we’re into the last few days of the year. Or that I actually managed to achieve my reading goals for 2019! Shall we have a look at my reads of 2019?
Now the eagle-eyed reader will notice we missed yesterday’s post. Nor do I have posts scheduled after today… whether I get a post live between now and the new year is questionable, but we’ll see what we can do! Anyway, Blogmas is officially over and I cannot wait to resume weekly posting when January comes around.
So as I was saying, I actually managed to achieve my reading goal this year. A lot better than last year! This year I have managed to read/consume 14 books!
The Clouds Beyond Us by Rahf Alrashidi
This Is Going To Hurt by Adam Kay
The Children Act by Ian McEwan
Lost in Vegas by Ian Jones
North of the Rock by Ian Jones
Death Is Now My Neighbour by Colin Dexter
Before I Die by Jenny Downham
A Game of Thrones by George R R Martin
Catch 22 by Joseph Heller
The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood
A Clash of Kings by George R R Martin
Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by J K Rowling
Christmas Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella
The Nightshift Before Christmas by Adam Kay
So now that I’ve managed all these books in 2019, I suppose I need to figure out what I’m reading in 2020! What books have you read this year that you highly recommend for me to read next year? Let me know in the comments below!

You read some awesome books this year! One book I loved is The Witches by Stacy Schiff, great non-fiction that reads like a novel and Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, my favorite read of 2019.

Any book you are going for particular this year? I highly recommend The Flatshare by Beth O’Leary. It was really, really good. Unless you’ve already read it haha ๐

This year the main goal is just to read anything and everything – preferably clear down my to be read pile sitting on my bookshelf! I’ve heard a few people talk about The Flatshare though, so it’s definitely going on my list now. Thanks for the link! Will have a read through it ๐

As a booklover and librarian, I can’t seem to pass up booklists of any kind! You have a wonderful list of books that you read this past year! A favorite book of mine from 2019 was “The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek”. It is fiction, and about a woman that delivered books up in the mountains of Kentucky, USA in the 1930’s. I loved it, and hope you would, too!

Thanks Diane, Iโll certainly look into it! Sometimes the best books you read are the ones you donโt expect to find xx
