Life With Me

Ahhhh here we go. Another week is starting, and with it comes another week of posting! Today’s post is a little update about life with me – what I’ve been up to, how everything’s going, and just general life. So grab a cuppa – or something stronger if you wish – and curl up to have a chat!Life with me has been interesting recently. I can’t even remember the last time I gave you all a proper chatty post, and so when I sat down to write a post I decided you might want to hear inside my head again for a while.

This morning I woke up and got ready for work. After being in my new job for literally one day, they offered me a chance to stay with them long-term. Of course I said yes! So with that, I can now happily say I am working and loving life in the office.

Aside from work though, I haven’t really been doing much else. I’m back with my parents and working in Northern Ireland. That means being on Twitter and other social media isn’t the easiest. Even if it was, I’m staring at a computer all day in work – so staring at a screen when I get in from work just doesn’t work well for me at the minute. I’m hoping to get a better balance over the next few weeks, but until then please do be patient with me.

Being here has its ups and downs, and I know I’m not exactly easy to live with anyway. But I’ve to head to Glasgow at the end of next month to clear out the flat, and bring it all back here.

While I’ve been back, I started going back to my old Weight Watchers classes. It’s brilliant being back and getting the motivation from the other people in the class, never mind the motivation from Bernie, our coach. Oh yeah, they’re now coaches not leaders. Kinda makes more sense, does it not?

Life back in Northern Ireland means I’ve been watching a lot more TV than I did while in Glasgow to be honest. And I’ve been seeing a lot more of my family too. Between spending time with the two grannies, Mum and Dad, I’ve seen my aunt and uncle a bit more, and we’re planning a girls night in this weekend with some of Mum’s side of the family.  Is it bad to miss the days of sitting in the flat on my own all weekend, leaving only to do a food shop?

It’s strange when life is tiring even though you aren’t doing much. I don’t have many friends over here, so I’m not socialising with people of my own age. Hopefully I can get to meet up with some of the bloggers from Northern Ireland that I’ve been speaking to on Twitter though…that would be good!

I’m aware of how disjointed this post is. I keep getting easily distracted, and my brain is running wild with the amount of different things I need to do today. So I’ve got Homeland Season 6 on on Netflix beside me, a kettle boiling for a cup of tea, and a list the length of my arm to work my way through.

So with that I’ll leave you. Regular posts will be back up as of Wednesday as normal. Here’s hoping they’re a little more cohesive than this post! I think, to be honest, this post has been a brilliant example of life with me at the minute – disjointed, short, and a little confusing! Hopefully next time I write a catch up post, I’ll be able to put a little more into it.

  • Hello Bexa

Congrats on being offered your job long term Katie! 💖 That’s awesome! They must really like you to give you that opportunity just after one day ☺️. Go girl! It’s nice you get to spend more time with your family and catching up on TV is such a good way to chill 😍. I hope you find some lovely Irish bloggers to meet up with and hope things settle down for you soon 💕 xx

It’s always weird moving back home. Hopefully you’ll get settled soon. It’s only natural to miss your own space too. Look forward to more posts on Wednesdays.
