Every desperate housewife wants an alias. Donna Stone has one…and it happens to be government-sanctioned. She earned it the hard way: her husband was killed the day she delivered her third child. To avenge his death, she leads a secret life – as an assassin. But espionage makes for strange bedfellows – and brings new meaning to that old adage, “Honey, I’m home…”
So just before lunch I finished the next book on my summer reading list – this is going well! I absolutely loved The Housewife Assassin’s Handbook, and can’t wait to read the next book in the series. It was funny, light and yet gave you a good plot to hold onto and keep you turning the page. My favourite parts though were the small paragraphs of advice at the start of each new chapter. The best was along the lines of if you want your husband to help around the house then you have to train him. If he is too tired after a day of work, some gentle persuasion may be needed – food poisoning. Then he’ll never let you cook again.
This made me laugh out loud on the sun bed.
You can get your hands on your own copy of The Housewife Assassin’s Handbook on Amazon, and I highly recommend that you do! Donna is a character I think a lot of you can relate to.
Unfortunately the holiday is drawing to an end 🙁 I honestly don’t want to go back to Northern Ireland. Being here is like being with a larger, slightly more Spanish, family. Also, the weather is fab. Okay, you may argue that 40 degrees is a little warm…. But that can easily be resolved by running for the pool! If you can think of a way for me to stay here indefinitely, please let me know!
