So I’m currently attempting to revise but my mind isn’t focusing at all as sitting behind me is a nearly packed suitcase! Ibiza isn’t far away and I’m desperate to get away now.
I seriously cannot settle down to do any work and I’m beginning to worry. How am I meant to pass these resits if I can’t focus for more than a couple of hours at a time during the day? I mean, I could stay awake at night but that makes the day time work ethic even worse. Any suggestions?
Today’s thought for the day is
Judge a man by his questions, not by his answers.
So what does that mean for us? To me, especially today, it implies that an intelligent person doesn’t boast of his intellect through his answers, rather he asks the right questions at the right times.
This week has been an interesting political development, probably one of the bigger ones of my lifetime. As we all know, the U.K. voted to leave the EU at the end of June. As a result, David Cameron resigned as prime minister and we now have Theresa May. Now, truth be told, I know very little about her, her policies or her intentions for the country. However, I am slightly wary of her for the simple reason I was unaware of her before this parliamentary shuffle. Is that wrong of me to say, especially when women should be rejoicing at this supposed win for feminists around the globe? I don’t know. All I do know is that it’s time I took an interest in the politics of the mainland and left behind the politics of Northern Ireland.
Whoops, I somehow got off topic. I actually came on here to talk about my summer reading list and how I’ve just downloaded Pokemon go! But I’ll save that for later. So call back tonight for this summer’s reading list and any other ramblings I may have!
A non-doer is very often a critic-that is, someone who sits back and watches doers, and then waxes philosophically about how the doers are doing. It’s easy to be a critic, but being a doer requires effort, risk, and change.

Well, Life with Ktkinnes is officially 2 years old today! How time flies… Thank you to everyone who’s following, whether you’ve been here from the start or just arrived, your follows and likes are very much appreciated.
I’ve been trying to think of something to do to celebrate 2 years of blogging but if I’m being honest I’m not quite sure what to do. A competition? A giveaway? A special post? It would be great to hear any ideas you have so please please please send them in! I can be found at the usual spots of Twitter (@kvburton657), email (email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org) or leave a comment below!
Today’s Thoughtful Thursday’s Quote of the Day was quite an interesting one, and it certainly got me thinking. Personally, I think I’m a non-doer. I talk about doing things and then never do, or give up after a certain amount of time. However, blogging is something I thought I would get bored with very quickly and yet here I am! If only I was as dedicated to revision as I am my blog… Which are you, a doer or a non-doer? Can you be a mix of both?
It’s been a long week, and it’s about to get more interesting. One granny is coming to visit this afternoon while Rachel’s boyfriend is here (he was meant to be here at 11:30am but only woke up about half an hour ago so the likelihood is he’ll be here around 1:30pm instead), tomorrow will be Rachel’s last-minute shopping that needs done before she leaves on Saturday night to go to Romania with Habitat for Humanity to build houses for people. Saturday is also my other granny’s 85th birthday – it’s the year of big birthdays! Speaking of which, I’d better get started on sorting Rachel’s 18th birthday presents… Can anyone remember which blog post I mentioned them in?
Anyway, have a great day whatever you get up to!
I thought this morning I would have a look at Wow4u’s quote of the day, just to give me something to think about during today. It’s actually quite a good one, I think.
