Good morning everyone! It’s Wednesday! Now, I could be sad about getting up for another day in work today, but tomorrow I’m fling off on holiday for a week. And not just any week… my birthday falls in the middle of it! Isn’t that exciting? So today’s post is all about me packing for a holiday, and what I would take.

Now if you’re anything like me, packing for a holiday means lists, lists and a few more lists. There’s the packing list, a “pack on the day” list, the “to do” list, the “to buy” list and more. So to help me try and get my head together for this holiday, and make sure I’ve packed everything, I’m sharing my Packing For A Holiday list today! Have you guessed that I’m excited for Ibiza?

Packing For A Holiday

Firstly, I always find it easiest to break my list into sections of what goes where. I’ll be taking 3 bags in total – the main suitcase, a carry-on bag, and of course a handbag. Now, for a 1 week holiday, we have a 22kg weight allowance in the suitcase, and 10kg in the carry on bag. I can’t remember if Jet2 let you carry a separate handbag, or if it has to go in the hand luggage, so I need to check that. But let’s get on with this packing for a holiday list!

Inside the suitcase, I will have all the usual things, including my wash bag and makeup bag. For this reason, I tend to give them their own subheadings on the list, as you can see below. Now… onto that goes into the suitcase!

  • Underwear
  • Bikini/tankini/swimsuit
  • Pjamas
  • Cover-up day dresses (x2)
  • Evening outfits (x3)
  • Flipflops
  • Evening shoes (x3)
  • Hairdryer
  • Hairbrush
  • Comb
  • Back-combing comb
  • Wash bag
  • Makeup bag
  • Towel
  • Book
  • Chargers
  • Extension lead
  • Adapters
  • Plastic bag (x2)
  • Straighteners
  • Spare Handbag (x2)
  • Beach Bag

As I said above, I like to then be able to list what’s going into the Wash Bag and Makeup Bag separately, so below is what goes in them when I’m packing for a holiday.

Oh wow, I actually thought I had a lot more still to pack! Of course, half of the toiletries are on the “pack tomorrow” list, but everything else is either charging or ready to go! All that’s left to do now is download some Netflix shows, and/or Sky boxsets, and I’ll be ready to be off!

Is there anything on my list you wouldn’t think of packing? Or maybe you’re shocked I’ve left something off that you find vital? Let me know in the comment box below please – otherwise I may leave without something vital!

As always, thanks for reading what I am packing for a holiday! Call back again for my next post on Friday!
