Home Alone This Weekend

Gooood morning everyone! Isn’t it a glorious autumnal day out there? You could attribute my great mood to the fact that I’m home alone this weekend, but I think it’s more to do with the fact that we’re on the countdown to the weekend again.

So as you may have guessed from the title of my post, I am officially home alone this weekend. Well, unless you count the cat.  But yes, Mum and Dad are away over to visit Rachel, meaning I will have 3 and a bit glorious days of not having to worry if I’m keeping anyone up late.

I dropped them up to the airport this morning, and will be picking them up on Saturday afternoon. So while it’s not like I’m entirely home alone this weekend, I am definitely getting a decent amount of time to myself. “What do you plan on doing with all that time?”, I hear you all asking. Well let me explain.

Today I have choir.  In fact, in exactly one month we will be having our Christmas concert. The best part? We’re allowed folders this time! We’ll be in a church, during the church service, and I really can’t wait – it’ll be the perfect way to start feeling Christmassy! So yes, I will be at choir practice tonight to get in that Christmas spirit just a little more. Then, when I get home, I’ll catch up on The Apprentice and maybe even get some blogging done! Wednesday nights I don’t do any Open University work, they’re like that mid-week break. So a little blogging may be exactly what the doctor ordered.

Tomorrow, I will be going to Weight Watchers – I can’t wait to see if I can reach my goal by Christmas! We’ll find out soon enough I suppose. I’ll probably have to do a bit more Open University work tomorrow night when I’m home alone.  At least I won’t feel like I’m stopping Mum and Dad from watching things we’ve been watching together! Oh, and I’ve got my granny over for dinner, so that’ll be a nice change.

Friday, my last night of being home alone for the weekend, I might just treat myself. Home from work, a nice bottle of wine tucked away somewhere special, and a delicious dinner. Will it be a movie marathon night, while lounging in my pjs? Or will it be a night of productivity? Blasting through everything I’ve thought about doing but thought “we don’t have time right now”? Who knows! But the possibilities are endless when you’re home alone for the weekend. I know I’m getting my hair done on Friday, but apart from that the world is my oyster!

Saturday will be a case of tidy the house and get things organised. As I said, Mum and Dad are back on Saturday afternoon, so I might be nice and treat them to a special meal, but I haven’t quite figured out what that would be.  All I know is, I’ll also have to start considering packing. Oh, did I not mention I’m in Glasgow next weekend? I can’t wait!

So now that you all know what I’m up to over the next couple of days, what’re you all up to? Anything fun and exciting? Let me know in the comments below!

Hey :) I'm 23, from Northern Ireland and no longer new to blogging. I love all things TV, books, food, music and film as well as going out with friends. This is hopefully somewhere you'll be able to come if you feel you need a laugh or even just to stay in touch. I'd like to take this chance to say thanks for coming to read! Enjoy and feel free to make any recommendations!
