The Slump

And once again I find myself struggling with the motivation to post. It’s a mixture of lack of ideas, and also because I’m just not enjoying at the minute. Is it wrong to think that if I’m not enjoying writing it, you won’t enjoy reading it?

I’ve been trying for the last 2 weeks to write up my Friday Favourites posts, because I do love spreading the love around! But any time I start to write it I lose interest. And I know that not everyone writes a full post in one sitting, but I find it best to do that. So I’m kind of hoping that by writing this post I can bring myself to finish a couple of posts that I have in the drafts section.

What do you do to bring yourself out of the writing slump? Is there a special routine you have to get through it all? Let me know below, maybe I can get writing again!

I go through times like this too, I think all bloggers do! Sometimes I’ll want to just write and write and have so many ideas and other times for weeks I’ll be struggling. If you need to, just take a bit of a break and don’t force it! I usually find I want to write when I’m least expecting it, like when I’m about to fall asleep haha x

Sometimes I find it helpful to actually take a real break. Don’t try to force it – announce to your social media that you’re taking a little break and then write when you’re feeling less stressed about it. It’s okay to take a break 🙂

Thanks Rebecca! It’s like…. I’ve got all these ideas, and I can start to write them, but I get bored after the first 50 words!
