And we’re back once again for another Friday Favourite! It’s been a strange week, and I am very much aware that once again I am posting this late, but I really wanted to get that Too Long post out first, so I hope you don’t mind another Friday Favourite appearing on a Sunday.
So, who is this week’s Friday Favourite?
Today, I’m looking at why you all should be following Abbey from the brilliant Abbey Louisa Rose blog!
Before I even start on why you should follow her, I need you to go look at her header. It makes me laugh every time I see it, and I love it even more because it’s just so different!
Who is Abbey? Well, for those of you who aren’t already following her on Twitter and therefore don’t have the pleasure of knowing her, Abbey is a 22 year old PhD student from Oxford University. Her motto for life is “you can never be overdressed or overeducated” and I love that!
Starting blogging in 2016, Abbey’s blog was her creative outlet for sharing memories of her summer between the end of her undergraduate degree and the start of her Masters course. Considering her blog is just over a year old, it’s incredible! Especially given the amount of time she has to dedicate to her course, never mind focussing on her blogging too. What was that? Me? Now way. You’re the one jealous of her amazing time management and dedication!
On her blog, you can find a mix of everything – food, travel, beauty, personal, and more! To be honest, I think that’s why I love it so much. You can never guess what sort of post will come next, and that’s kind of exciting for me! Yes, I know, but it’s the small things in life, right?
One of my favourite posts Abbey has written would have to be So You’ve Been Caught Out. The first two paragraphs, I feel, capture Abbey’s personality and sense of humour perfectly, and they lighten the mood before she goes on to give some very real but good advice on how to fix situations in which you find yourself in the wrong. It’s not a personal post, and to be honest if you’re a decent human being (as I like to think I am) you should already know these rules. But the advice is good, the style of the post is great, and who doesn’t love a good bit of Jezza (Jeremy Kyle for anyone not in the know)?
If this post wasn’t your cup of tea, why not head over to Abbey’s blog anyway and find your own favourite posts? I’ve put her links down below!
And an even better thing to bare in mind, Abbey does advertising packages! The details of these packages can be found on her blog, and by signing up to one you can not only help yourself but also help her out too!
As always, I hope you’ve all had a wonderful weekend, and that Monday’s good to you. Who knows, maybe by the time this goes live I’ll have figured out a post for Monday too!
Either way, before you click off on to another site or go back to scrolling through your Twitter timeline, please do take a few minutes to go over and visit Abbey’s blog. Afterall, aren’t we all here to support each other?
