Freshers’ Flu

Well the no skipping lectures has gone amazingly well… that well I have now managed to skip 2! However I haven’t missed a single 9 o’clock lecture yet this year! Well that’s not really saying much considering we’re only in the 3rd week… I’m currently battling a cold most commonly referred to as Freshers Flu. For anyone who is unaware, you don’t have to be a fresher to catch freshers flu. I managed to stay in the entire time, have been eating well, earlyish nights… but I am still sick! Tonight I am heading to a pub quiz at the university union with a few friends. I’m actually up to date with all my lectures and am almost fully finished homeworks for the week! It’s brilliant.

Last night we ended up in A&E. Mary, my flatmate, was playing a casual game of football in the park with her teammates because their usual training pitch was being used by the men’s team. Whatever happened, someone tackled her and she fell on her wrist. It doesn’t look too pretty! After only a few hours, we found out her wrist is broken and she’ll need to wear a cast for the next few weeks. At least we can incorporate it into her Halloween costume! Just means we have to wait to play Risk [AFF] another time unfortunately.

Anyway, I need to head out. Hope you all have a great day!
