This post is going to confuse me next year hahah… Don’t worry, you haven’t missed a day! With blogmas starting tomorrow, I wanted to kickstart December 2018 a day early, just to tidy everything up.
Tomorrow, December 2018 begins, and with it comes blogmas year 3. It’s crazy that once again there will be 34 posting days in a row… but I’m hoping to make it work!
So while I know we’re on the last day of November, I just wanted to recap on the last month. November started with me submitting my first TMA for the Open University. The next week, Mum and Dad headed to Edinburgh to visit Rachel, leaving me home alone for a couple of days. Wednesday morning I drove them to the airport in the torrential rain, flooding, and heavy fog – great fun on country roads! That night had me at choir, and the next day I was in to work. I then had Weight Watchers followed by Granny over for dinner. Friday I finished work and went to get my hair done, before collapsing on the sofa for the rest of the night. It felt so good to have some me time! Saturday I took Granny to the hairdressers, had coffee with my aunt, and then got everything done around the house for Mum and Dad to come home. Sunday then saw me get on with some OU work and head out shopping. The following week passed quite quickly, and before I knew it I was on the plane to Glasgow! After a busy 48 hours, I was home again before rushing out to buy myself a new TV for my bedroom. I still had birthday money I hadn’t spent, so I’m classing it as a Christmas present to myself. Plus, now I can watch Netflix in bed from the other side of the room, and still be able to see the screen! By the end of the week, I was shattered. Another busy week of work followed, and then Mum went away for the weekend. Of course, Dad and I took this as an opportunity to watch all the films we wanted to see that Mum has no interest in – Bohemian Rhapsody, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and Fantastic Beasts The Crimes of Grindelwald. If I’m honest, I adored Bohemian Rhapsody that much that I was actually let down by Fantastic Beasts… my own mistake! The next day involved a brilliantly festive NI Blogger Brunch, where we heard from Array Aesthetics, Jamm & Co Cosmetics, and finished off with some wreath making! I went home in the mood to put up the Christmas decorations but was out-voted. Not happy… But then Monday night saw me get even more festive with the Lisburn Light Festival and a night of shopping. Choir changed to Tuesday night, and Wednesday had me submitting my 2nd assignment for the Open University. Finally, yesterday I went to Weight Watchers (or WW as it’s now branded) and was told I’m only 2lbs away from goal! Eeeeeek! And now today it’s the last day of the month and I am shattered. And this is all before the busy month even begins!
So as you know, I’m going to be busy blogging this month. But I’m also busy outside the blogosphere. Tomorrow is what I will always refer to as “Christmas Tree Day” – I may even get up early! Sunday is then a meal out for my granny’s birthday, which itself is on Monday. So I suppose I’d better get thinking about what I’ll be wearing! The working week will end on Friday, and I’ll be rushing off to get ready for the choir’s Christmas concert. Saturday I have a tutorial for the Open University, and then I’m hoping to go to Fermanagh for the night to visit family. Home on Sunday, and into work Monday. The following Friday is our Christmas night out with work, and it’s a planned pub crawl. Wish me luck… Then that Monday is Mum’s birthday, so I have no doubt we’ll be doing something for her birthday. We finish for Christmas on the Thursday, so on Friday I’ll be getting my hair done, dropping the cat off for her Christmas holiday, and packing for our journey. Oh, did I not mention? We’re in Scotland for Christmas this year! Leaving on the Saturday. We’ll be back well before the New Year though, and before you know it we’ll be back into work on the 2nd January 2019. It’s a scary thought!
My November Goals:
It took a long time to think up my goals for November, so shall we have a look and see what we managed to achieve?
- Post at least once a week.
- Keep up to date with my course work.
- Get organised for Blogmas.
Well, I think we can agree I managed to post at least once a week! In fact, I believe it was actually 3 times a week, but who’s counting? I also managed to keep up with my coursework, so that’s a bonus! And while I haven’t written all my blogmas posts, I have a lot of them planned and/or drafted just needing the finishing touches! So can we count that as a success?
December 2018 Goals
I do want to keep it somewhat simple for December, especially with it being such a busy month.
- Blog every day of the month.
- Read 1 book.
- Watch a Christmas film each week.
- Attend a carol service.
- Set up my 2019 bullet journal.
Do you set yourself any monthly goals? Or do you have any specific goals for December? Let me know in the comments below! And remember to call back tomorrow to read the start of my blogmas posts!
