Well, as the year comes to an end (and before I start to consider my New Years Resolutions) I thought I’d share with you the list of books I’ve read this year, all in the one place with their review where appropriate.
- Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by J. K. Rowling
- The Freedom Writers’ Diary (review found here)
- Carol by Patricia Highsmith (review found here)
- Room by Emma Donoghue (review found here)
- The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern (review found here)
- The Housewife Assassin’s Vacation to Die For by Josie Brown
- The Housewife Assassin’s Recipes for Disaster by Josie Brown
- Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
- The Dog Who Dared To Dream by Sun-Mi Hwang (review coming in the new year)
- Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them (Original Screenplay) by J. K. Rowling
Now I’ve to try and plan my books for the new year. Did you read anything you would recommend? Or did you read any of those books above – if so, what did you think of them?
I can’t wait to see what books 2017 will bring into my life!
Ktkinnes xx
I re-read Philosopher’s Stone this year! *-* I didn’t have the chance to pick up Cursed Child and the Fantastic Beasts screenplay, but i’m really curious about them and also loved the Fantastic Beasts movie, so i hope to pick them up as soon as possible! *-*

I read Room too this year I really enjoyed it, did you watch the film? I might take some of yours and add them to my tbr. I wrote a similar post to you here. http://j.mp/2h9Vbk8
Thanks for sharing! X

Interesting that Cursed Child made it on your list! I really couldn’t stand it, it felt like unnecessary adding to the world. I loved Fantastic Beasts though, Newt is too precious 🙂

Aw nice!! Hope you get them soon! 🙂 the cursed child was a good way to sort of finish off the Harry Potter series, and if you enjoyed the film of Fantastic Beasts then it’s definitely worth reading the screenplay! xx

Aw sorry to hear that! Although this is just a list of the books I read this year, not my favourites 🙈 I barely do any reading now, it’s embarrassing! However I completely agree about Newt – can’t wait for the next one! xx

Yeah I watched it, obviously it wasn’t as good as the book. But why do they always seem to change the stories of books when it goes to film! xx

Thank you! I didn’t get reading as many as I wanted to, but The Night Circus is definitely one I will go back on in a few years time! Let me know what you think of it when you get it finished? xx
